Mapfre Aspar rider Alvaro Bautista accepted the silver medal at the annual RFME Gala de Campeones in Barcelona today. The medal was awarded to the 250cc rider for excellence in his sport and the runner-up finish in this season’s championship. Other medalled riders included this year’s third-placed MotoGP rider Dani Pedrosa.
