As the season comes to a close and most of next year’s MotoGP lineup is confirmed, journalists start to turn their attention to the contract developments in the small classes.
With Mike Di Meglio and Julian Simon all but confirmed to run for the Aspar Moto2 squad next season, the next piece of the puzzle seems to have fallen into place as Spanish media reports that Nico Terol will most likely be riding for the 125cc Aspar Team in 2010. The Spaniard is currently sitting in third place in the championship and is in advanced talks with Jorge Martinez. KTM rider Marc Marquez has also been an option since KTM will stop their involvement in the championship next year, but it is understood that Marquez will more likely join Ajo Motorsport instead.
Bradley Smith will most likely continue with the team as he recently claimed to even put his Moto2 aspirations behind for the time being, in favour of staying with the Aspar Team.
It is unknown at this point if Sergio Gadea will continue with the 125cc Bancaja team and who will be chosen for the Aspar-based Balatonring Moto2 Team.
We will keep you updated.
