Before the final race of the season in Valencia we want to give you the current status of next year’s Aspar lineup.
As previously reported, Nico Terol seems to have signed a deal with Aspar to ride in their 125cc squad next year and he will be joined by Bradley Smith.
For the new Moto2 class Mike Di Meglio and Julian Simon have been confirmed, riding Aprilia machinery.
And the Aspar Ducati team will run with Hector Barbera as we know.
The only yet unknown puzzle piece is the whereabouts of Sergio Gadea. He’s had some decent results again this year and it would make sense for him to stay in the team, but as of now there’ve been now news or confirmations about this.
Should he not stay with the team it’s also unknown if there will be a third 125cc bike after all to be taken by a new teammember or if the 125cc squad might be running with only 2 bikes next year, to be able and focus on the new MotoGP project as well.
The rider for the Moto2 Balatonring Racing Team also has yet to be confirmed.
We will keep you updated on this.
