After two of three scheduled test days the Aspar MotoGP Team and rider Hector Barbera finished the test early due to persistent bad weather and more rain predicted for the next days. Nontheless the Valencian rider was happy with the work done and is looking forward to next season.
Barbera did two runs with ten laps each, testing each time with a different setup. In the afternoon he completed five more laps and finished with a best time of 1’41.7, less than 2 seconds off the record from this season’s Gran Premio de España.

“Today was a day of very complete work. We have centered our efforts in doing tests with the motorbike and the traction control. We were not going for fast laptimes, we were rather looking for a good line of work. At the end of the day I did 20 good laps and I am happy. The results are not excellent, but I feel that we are on the right way. Now I will prepare myself as good as possible to return to Sepang at one hundred percent. I think that one of the key points for the season will be to get physically stronger during the winter months.”

After the long winter break the next outing for the Aspar MotoGP squad will be at the Sepang circuit in February.
